Party Wishes

Hi Everyone,
I really love the bold bright colors in the It's My Party DSP and have used quite a bit of it, but when I saw this card from Jeanna Bohanon I fell in love with the muted tones.  To get my cake look, I used Stampin' Write markers directly on my stamp.  Rich Razzleberry isn't a color I pull out too often but I just love it with the Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo.  It's a bit hard to tell in the picture but I used the Wink of Stella in clear on the cake stand and flame part of the candles.  It shimmers much more in person, I still haven't found a good way to photograph the Wink of Stella but just love how it looks on cards.  The Blushing Bride Glimmer paper helps pick up the shimmer too and who doesn't love Glimmer paper?!?!?

Rose Garden

Hi Everyone,
I'm back today with another sample using the gorgeous Birthday Bouquet DSP and Watermelon Wonder.  This time I used the Rose Garden Thinlets and Rose Wonder Stamp set.  These are really beautiful and even better is the 15% off bundle price when you buy them together.
For this sample I cut the smaller rose from the Thinlet set in Watermelon Wonder and attached it to the DSP with the Fine Tip Glue Pen, one of my all time favorite tools.  To get the pieces out quickly and easily, I used the new Big Shot Die Brush.  It makes getting those little pieces out so much faster than using the Paper Piercer.  After that I fussy cut around the flower and it was good to attach to my project.  I usually avoid fussy cutting as much as I can but this was really pretty easy.  You could easily do this with any of Stampin' Up's beautiful DSP.  If you look closely you can see that I used some more of the Watermelon Wonder 1" stitched ribbon, its appearing in quite a few of my projects lately...

Grateful Bunch

Hi Everyone,
This morning I have another sample from the Grateful Bunch stamp set.  This time I paired it with the beautiful Birthday Bouquet DSP.  I have to admit that when it first came out, Watermelon Wonder was not one of my favorite colors.  However that has changed with this DSP.  Its so pretty with the Blushing Bride and Mossy Meadow.  Did you notice that ribbon?  I just love it!  Its so pretty and I love the fact that its wider than most of Stampin' Up's other ribbons, it add such pop to your projects.

Grateful Bunch

Hi Everyone,
This is the first sample I am sharing with the Grateful Bunch stamps and its such a fun set!  The flowers are really beautiful and I love the sayings that come in it.  The best part is that Stampin' Up made a matching punch for it and offers it in a bundle deal.  Who doesn't love 15% off???  Besides the flowers the stamp set has a really beautiful butterfly and lace detail.  Sometimes I buy a stamp set because I like just a stamp or 2, but for this set I really love it all.
If you look closely, you can see that the center stripe is glittery... I used the white glitter tape from SAB and used a dauber and some so saffron ink to color it.  Now you can have glitter tape in any color!
