I used 2 new stamp sets for this sample.  I love how the scallops from A Round Array fit perfectly in the center of this stamp from Label Love, you can mix and match quite a few different combos.

I've had the Happy Hour set for a while now and have never seemed to come up with a sample worth sharing... Until now!   Once again I used the new In Colors - hopefully this picture will work a bit bettter since the base color is Crisp Cantaloupe, but I had to sneak in some of the Strawberry Slush :)

Stippled Blossoms

Well, what a great weekend I had.  It started on Friday night at my class where we made 3 great projects with some great women.  Then on Saturday I went to a scrap day from 9-9 and instead of scrapping I brought my stamping supplies and made a bunch of new projects I can't wait to share with you.  I also had the opportunity to meet some wonderful new women!  Here are the first 2 projects I'll show you, both made with the Stippled Blossoms set and some of the new In Colors.  For some reason my camera does not like the Strawberry Slush color and it doesn't photograph well.  It is a beautiful color in person.

New Catalog

Brie with Apple, Cranberries & Almonds

They boys were off camping with the boy scouts this weekend, which left just us girls at home.  It always seems much easier cooking and planning for 3 than 5...  Friday night I just made this great appetizer for dinner and the girls loved it.  I hadn't made it in years and I really don't know why, it comes together very easily.

Ingredients:

1 cup chopped apples
1/2 cup sliced almonds
1/2 cup dried cranberries
2 Tbls packed brown sugar
2 Tbls melted butter
1 round 16-17oz. Brie Cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Peel and coarsely chop apple. Combine apple, almonds, cranberries, brown sugar, and butter in a small bowl. Mix together.

Cut brie in half horizontally. Place one half – rind side down into baking dish. Spoon half of apple mixture onto bottom half of Brie – spreading evenly. Top with remaining half of Brie, rind side up. Spoon remaining apple mixture over top.

Bake 12-15 minutes or until cheese is soft and just begins to melt.

Serve with thinly sliced French bread.
