Hello You Thinlets

Hi Everyone,
     I really love the Hello You Thinlets in the Occasions catalog.   When I first started working with them, I found them a little difficult to work with, but have since learned some tricks to make things easier.  The first one is to use our Transfer Adhesive Sheets on the back of the cardstock, that way you don't need to worry about gluing the word down.  You just peel off the back and you are good to go.  The second trick is to use a sheet of wax paper between your cardstock and the die, the wax paper makes is slide right out of the die and it peels right off of the cut out word.

Sheltering Tree

Hi Everyone,
     I don't know about you but I do not enjoy losing that extra hour this weekend.  Daylight Savings Time just seems to throw everything off somehow.  For today's card, I went back to Sheltering Tree.  To get the "snow" on the tree I just used our wonderful White Gel Pen.  It's also hard to see in the picture but there are snowflakes stamped in the background.  I was able to curve the sentiment because this stamp set is photopolymer and it makes it so easy to bend the stamp.  I hope our weather stops looking like this tree and we see some signs of spring soon.

From the Herd

Hi Everyone,
     The From the Herd stamp set from the Occasions catalog is absolutely adorable.  I recently cased 2 cards I found on Pinterest to make some samples.  The first one, cased from The Stamping Shed, took quite a bit of time but was a ton of fun to color in.  I used blender pens and ink from pressing the top of my ink pad to the base of the pad on my stamp pads.  By pressing the pad together when its closed like this, it creates a small amount of ink in the lid.  It's perfect for coloring with the blender pens.
     For the second sample, I cased from this card on Splitcoaststampers.  This card came together very quickly using only minimal coloring.  I used my Stampin' Write Markers to color in just bits and pieces of the animals.
